I’m so glad that the Williams family is able to take a trip like this. I know Forrest and Jordan will remember this vacation for years to come….provided they don't throw each other off the ledge at the Grand Canyon after spending all that time in the truck together. Hutt decided to make me a contributor to this site, so I told JoJo it was her job to send me a text every time they entered another state. Here’s what I have so far (followed by some commentary, of course):
Day 1: 6/18/10
2:53 PM “We just Left”…..Yeah, we all knew the Williams clan would leave “promply at noon”, didn’t we? Any of us who have been camping with them before know they are NEVER on time leaving. I’ve secretly always thought that it was because Hutt wanted to arrive late so we’d have dinner ready for him….but that’s just my theory. HAHAHAHAHAHA
6:21 PM “In West VA Check Engine light on!”…..This prompted some long distance troubleshooting and a series of text messages between me and Jo followed by a call to Hutt (I really need to get a 900 number for him to dial into!) We determined that there was no dire need to stop moving, so onward they went with plans to contact a Ford dealership in the morning. Poor Hutt. All that preparation to get the truck and camper ready for the trip and the thing that went wrong with the truck (EGR valve clogged) was caused by him driving the truck like a GRANDMA. I told him that the carbon probably hadn’t been blown out of that truck since I drove it back from GA when we picked up the camper….And trust me friends, it was blown out of there then. What Hutt doesn’t know when he’s sleeping, won’t hurt him!
6:46 PM “In MD”
6:49 PM “Now in PA” I think that little sliver of MD took Jo by surprise!
Day 2: 6/19/10
A couple of calls and messages from Hutt confirmed the issue with the truck was resolved thanks to a great Ford dealership in PA close to where they were staying. Sure would be nice if we could get one of those close to HOME, wouldn’t it Hutt?

1:33 PM “We entered Indiana like 10 minutes ago, but I was sleep”….I think this was a defense mechanism to shut Forrest out of her mind….again, just my theory.
